WEST Coast Aquatics

My kids attend private swimming lessons here, and I have no complaints about the swimming instructor or coach. The coach is patient, professional, and very good with children. The lessons themselves are great and my kids are learning well. However, the facility, especially the girls’ locker room and bathrooms, really needs improvement. The showers are extremely outdated and difficult for young kids (6–7 years old girls) to use. Out of several showers, usually only one works properly for even a minute. The rest require constant pressing to keep the water running, which is very inconvenient for children. There are also no drying machines for swimsuits or clothes, and no plastic/polythene bags provided for wet clothes. The bathrooms and shower areas do not feel modern or well-maintained. The instructors deserve high marks, but the facility itself needs significant upgrades, especially in the girls’ bathroom and changing area.

My son recently moved to the Salmon level at West Coast Aquatics, and today was only his second class at this new stage. The group has started learning the breaststroke, and since this is a brand-new skill for him, he’s still very much at the beginner level compared to some of the other kids. I really want to appreciate the incredible support from the instructors, Prabh and Olivia. They gave my son some extra attention—patiently helping him learn the correct technique while keeping him motivated and reassured throughout the class. It meant a lot to see instructors who not only focus on skill-building but also on keeping kids motivated and positive. A big shout-out to the entire team at West Coast Aquatics for creating such a supportive and fun learning environment.

West Coast Aquatics is a fantastic facility. It is well maintained, very clean, and the lifeguards and employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I feel very fortunate to have found this place to enjoy my sport. Also, the water aerobics instructor is knowledgeable, fun, and provides great workouts in the water.

We want to sincerely thank all of the coaches, especially Jamie, for the incredible passion, patience, and care you show every child. Your team creates such a supportive and encouraging environment, and it truly makes a difference not only for the kids but also for parents watching from the sidelines. The kindness, empathy, and dedication you bring to every class are deeply appreciated. It is clear how much you genuinely care about helping each child grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and enjoy the experience. We are so grateful for the positive impact you continue to make. Thank you for everything you do!

Came for the 8:30 - 9:30pm lap swim(seasonal March hours). I know the lap time, that’s why I chose this slot, but staff started rushing me about 5 minutes before the end. I was just finishing my swim and heading to the locker room, and spent only about 10 minutes showering and changing. Staff then told me “you gonna hurry up” in a very rude way. There’s no clearly posted locker room closing time, and the overall experience felt poorly managed with a lack of customer service awareness. Update: Your response is quite dismissive, and it shifts the blame onto the customer. If this is your policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront instead of being enforced and then blamed on customers afterward. The problem is the rude attitude without customer service awareness. Your “updated”policy in your response which makes it sound like I did something wrong, when that was never communicated beforehand. Customers should not be expected to guess rules that are not posted. Also, this is advertised as a one-hour lap swim, but in reality it isn’t. The previous session was still ongoing when I arrived, so I couldn’t start on time, and then I was rushed out early. That makes the actual swim t
